Challenge

Fitstyler provides bootcamps and group fitness-style training with benefits ranging from weight loss, increased cardio fitness, increased strength, more energy, improved posture and injury prevention.

As existing users of Act!, they needed an email-service solution that would enable them to easily manage their marketing communications and offer insights into the results of their e-marketing efforts.

“We wanted to find an email service provider that would minimise the number of applications we were using for our marketing needs and that would give us greater control over our customer management system, Act!” says Anthony McMahon, Business Partner.

Approach

Fitstyler reviewed its marketing communications workflow and identified that licensing an email service separate from their CRM was creating complexity. They decided to leverage the built-in e-marketing module of Act! so that email campaigns, prospect tracking, and contact management could all be unified. They configured hot-lists of most-interested prospects and set up regular newsletter distributions to keep their contact base engaged.

Solution

By using Act!’s in-built e-marketing program, Fitstyler were able to create, send and better manage their email marketing. Because it integrates seamlessly with their CRM, they could target contacts based on interaction (e.g., clicks or forwards), use a “Forward to a Friend” tool for referrals, and generate analytics reports.

Experience

Fitstyler now distributes a regular newsletter that keeps them front-of-mind when it comes to their contacts’ health and fitness. The “Forward to a Friend” feature has become an effective method of reaching new people interested in health and fitness. Through the reporting tools, they can target email recipients depending on their interactions with newsletters. This has led to a 12 % increase in sales specifically through targeting those prospects generated by customised hot lists.

Ultimately, Act’s emarketing has allowed us to keep in contact with potential clients and monitor their interest which has lead to a 12% increase in sales specifically through targeting those people generated by our customised hot lists.
